Can pay Zakat to nonmuslim?-By syedraf

🔵Q:-Raf sb is it valid to pay zakat to competent 📌1-non muslim neighbour 📌2-as some muslim scholars opine negatively.

Need an explanation by support of the verses of Quran,if you pl don't mind.

Zakat term used in Quran as PURIFICATION, it's not direct relation with wealth. So, all donation comes under the umbrella of Zakat as it meant purifcation materials.

Yes, you can give non muslim neighbour.According to Quran Zakat(all payout Alam, Charity, any donation) can be given to non-Muslims also.

Verse 9:60 of The Quran:

۞ إِنَّمَا الصَّدَقَاتُ لِلْفُقَرَاءِ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَالْعَامِلِينَ عَلَيْهَا وَالْمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَفِي الرِّقَابِ وَالْغَارِمِينَ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ ۖ فَرِيضَةً مِنَ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ

ছাদাক্বা কেৱল 🌟1✔️ফকীৰ, 🌟2✔️মিছকীন আৰু ✔️ছাদাক্বা আদায়ৰ কামত নিযুক্ত কৰ্মচাৰীসকলৰ বাবে, আৰু ✔️যাৰ অন্তৰ (সত্যৰ প্ৰতি) আকৃষ্ট কৰাৰ আৱশ্যক তাৰ বাবে, ✔️দায়মুক্তিৰ বাবে, 🌟3✔️ঋণগ্ৰস্তসকলৰ বাবে, ✔️আল্লাহৰ পথৰ বাবে লগতে ✔️মুছাফিৰসকলৰ বাবে। এইটো আল্লাহৰ তৰফৰ পৰা নিৰ্ধাৰিত। আৰু আল্লাহ সৰ্বজ্ঞ, প্ৰজ্ঞাময়।

“The alms (sadaqat) are meant only for the poor and the needy and those who are in charge thereof, those whose hearts are to be reconciled and to free those in bondage, and to help those burdened with depth, and for expenditure in the way of Allah and for the wayfarer. This is an obligation from Allah. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.”

According to the verse, Zakat can be spent for eight purposes. One of them refers to the case of ‘ta’lif-e qulub’ (and the ones inclined, wal-mu-alafati-وَالْمُؤَلَّفَةِ, their hearts, qulūbuhum-قُلُوبُهُمْ).This institution is intended to promote sympathy between people, establish friendly relations and to encourage cooperation in maintaining peace and security of the Islamic nations.

Therefore Zakat can be disposed for those non-Muslims who may, as a result, be inclined to Islam, or may assist the Muslims with the Zakat for fighting against the enemies.

Regarding paying non-Muslims of this money, Islamic scholars have said: “Paying Zakat to non-Muslims who will be inclined towards Islam or will help the Muslims in the case of possible wars is permissible.”
