Introduction The objective of this article is to summarise my reasoning for  rendering a number of words in the translation which features  in my work The Qur’an: A Complete Revelation the way I do.  The subject matter lacks concreteness by definition since we  are dealing, at least in part, with unseen forces. My results are, I  think, both consistent within the terms I have set myself (of pan- textual integrity), and with the broader text. I do not present involved detail on each of the topics I address  here.
