EMPOWER YOURSELF WITH THE FOLLOWING NOT TO BE MANIPULATED BY SCHOLARS WHO TRICKS & LIES TO SO MANY !
THE CORRECT MEANING OF HADITH.
Those who have been to madrasah will be familiar with these two terms when giving the definition of a word: 'LUGATAN AND ISTILAHA'. The former meaning the literal interpretation i.e the traditional widely known surface meaning of a word, while the latter represents the tecnical meaning of the word i.e the meaning from the shariah point of view.
Now talking about the meaning of hadith and doing justice to the analysis literally and tecnically. It is coined from the 'asliyy' i.e the root word 'hadatha' which means to 'say something' or to 'narrate'. Therefore literal meaning (lugatan) of the word hadith is 'a saying or a narration'.
But talking about the istilahan i.e the tecnical meaning which is the real meaning from the shariah. The first yardstick is to look in the qur'an in what sense the word is used, the context of usage and the meaning intended, before giving consideration to the opinions of scholars.
Allah has called the holy qur'an as hadith in some verses and used it interchangeably in others. This is because the Qur'an contains the stories of the ancient people and many narrations of the incidents of the past.
Therefore the real meaning and the correct definition of hadith from the real sharia point of view is 'the stories of the past prophets, [Muhammad(pbuh) inclusive] and the affairs of the former nations as reported in the Qur'an. Hence Hadith is not mere hearsays about the beloved prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and neither is it his sayings, actions and tacit approvals as the popular definition states.
CLASSIFICATION OF HADITH MENTIONED IN THE QUR'AN.
Ahsanul Hadith-Surah 39:23.
Lahwal Hadith- Surah 31:6
Hadith Yuftara- Surah 12:111.
As against the following popular classification:
1. Hadithun Sahihun.
2. Hadith Hassan.
3. Hadith Daif.
4. Hadith mawdu.
Allah gives a stern warning against following the masses and their opinions in surah 6:116 while stating most of them follow nothing but conjectures and lies.
May Allah grant us steadfastness in following the correct guidance embedded in the Qur'an.
A reminder is good for a believer.
